Quick Update

Just a quick update, so much has happened over the past few weeks but I don't feel like I could summarise it all in a single post. So I'll break it down bullet point style!

  • Went to the moveis with the kids and saw 'Trolls - World tour'. Kids loved it, I loved it; a great family movie!
  • Also went and saw 'Bill and Ted face the music' with my nephew. It was suitably ridiculous and silly and we had a good laugh.
  • Found a Blue-tongued lizard hiding behind a bag of toys on our back patio (see photo). It hid to get away from our yapping dog but in doing so had become trapped, cold and thirsty. I managed to put in a box so that Julia could take it up the road and release it away from any other dogs/cats but not before our daughter decided to call it 'Jake'. Hopefully Jake is doing well in his new home.
  • Work has been really busy - a lot of workplace changes, projects, its hitting annual renewals time so a fair bit of communications with vendors as well. Probably the most concerning is that with all the changes, if I want to stay in my current acting position permenantly, I need to be eligible to join ALIA however my degree has not been officially accredited so I need to apply for them (at cost) to manually review my course to determine if I meet their criteria. It's taken a bit of time to pull all the information they require as well as refine my resume. Hopefully it all goes well!
  • Nearly finished the possum nesting box for Mum's Christmas present and have also started on a new Jewellery Box build for daughters birthday. Will take some photos and post them as I go.

A lot more that his happening but this is what springs to mind when I think back over the past few weeks. It also highlights that I need to write more often, so much happens in the span of a few weeks and leaving it so long between posts means that a lot gets forgotten, missed or it gets condensed into something like the above without much description or context. I aim to do better!
