Something I have seen on a few other personal sites is the concept of a 'now' page. What am I doing at the moment? Books I'm reading, movies (cinema) that I have seen or series I'm watching, games I'm playing, etc. Since I usually post something every month or so, I am committing to updating this list on a monthly basis as it is likely to change and become out of date.

Here is my list for June 2026:

Book:
I am currently reading Empress of Forever by Max Gladstone. I'm about 3/4 through and it has taken so long to get to this point! Will it ever end?!?! That being said, the protagonist has got past the lowest point and things are starting to come together so I committed to finishing it. I have also started reading a few other books on creative writing - I don't plan on becoming an author but just interested in the process of storytelling.
Audiobook:
I recently cancelled my Audible subscription. I have a bunch of books I haven't listened to yet and my car won't play audio through my phone anymore (sees it as a phone only and not a BT audio device?) so I thought I might save some money and focus on reading instead.
Movie:
Haven't been to the movies for a while and there are a few I wouldn't mind seeing - new Mortal Kombat, Mando and Grogu (Star Wars), Masters of the Universe - but I could probably wait until they hit the small screen. Recently watched The Red which was a great Aussie horror flick. Also laughed at the absolute silliness of VelociPaster. Hilarious!
Series:
I have been getting into movies more than series recently... Started 'For all Mankind" but haven't really got into it all that much.
Games:
Steam sales are the best and the worst. Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 has consumed my free time recently but I think its starting to get to the point when pulling a virtual engine apart and putting it back together is starting to lose its appeal. Also in the middle of a Mass Effect paythrough - has to be one of my all time favourites!
Learning:
I have been doing some learning on Flask to create websites. Working through Python Anywhere which is pretty awesome for creating anything python related. And Free!
Other:
I have been doing some goal keeping for my hockey team. Recently sick with a cold/flu thing and lung capacity has yet to return to 100% so being able to stand in goal and not run around so much has been good. I really enjoy keeping, may not be the best at it but it is good fun!
